​ADVANCE
ADVANCE is a three-week residential program that offers a challenging and rewarding curriculum for gifted students entering grades 8 through 12 next fall.

Architecture Summer Camp at LSU
This one-week, residential workshop on the LSU campus is an exciting chance for students entering grades 10th-12th to explore the world of design and architecture.  Explore basic design principles and techniques to create hands-on building and model-making activities. 

Architecture Discovery Program at Washington University
The Architecture Discovery Program (ADP) is an exciting introduction to architecture and design for high school students. Our rigorous two-week program offers intensive individual instruction by Sam Fox School faculty. This program is recommended for rising juniors and seniors in high school. Upon successful completion, students earn 2 college credits and may receive letters of recommendation for college admission.

Beyond Body Basics for Boys
​Going through bodily changes during your teenage years can be an overwhelming and confusing time. Beyond Body Basics is an educational and informational class for adolescents, covering topics in depth like mental health, sexual health, reproduction, healthy relationships, online safety and more.

Body Basics for Boys

Learning how their bodies grow, what changes to expect during puberty, and how to take care of themselves are valuable lessons for preteens. Body Basics offers those lessons in separate classes for girls ages 9-12 and boys ages 10-13. Both classes include informal, open discussions, a film presentation, and take home materials.

Career Explorations in Architecture
The Tulane Science Scholars Program is a selective program for current 10th and 11th grade students who have exceptional talent in the sciences and mathematics.  

 

Carnegie Mellon Pre-College Programs

Carnegie Mellon’s Pre-College Programs mirror the undergraduate experience, giving rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to explore their interests and passions while receiving instruction from acclaimed Carnegie Mellon faculty and staff. 

CLAHEC
The Central Louisiana Health and Education Center serves to inspire students interested in working in the health career industry. Some of the programs that they offer include a Day with the Doctors, A-HEC of a Summer, Camp Fast Forward, Dash into Dentistry and Nurse Camp. 

City Year
City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation.

Cornerstone Summer Institute
The Cornerstone Summer Institute provides rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors with the opportunity to engage in historical investigation, archaeological excavation, and community engagement in order to learn and develop thinking skills that will prepare them for success in college and beyond.

​Gettysburg College is excited to offer several opportunities for high school students over the summer months. Subjects include psychology, creative writing, or information technology.

Governor's Program for Gifted Children
The Governor's Program for Gifted Children is seven weeks of academic enrichment, artistic opportunity, and friendship. A residential program at McNeese State University, the GPGC is the oldest and most comprehensive enrichment program for gifted students in Louisiana.

Launch at MIT
Our high school entrepreneurs will start a company in teams, pitching to a panel of judges and investors at the end of the summer. Classes are taught by MIT and Harvard Business School students and alumni, successful entrepreneurs, and professors from top tier schools. 

LeaderShip U

Louisiana Girls Leadership Academy
Hosted by Nicholls State University, the vision of LGLA is to develop high-potential leaders. Girls entering grades 9-11 will network with peers and be mentored by experienced women to develop knowledge and skills for future leadership roles. 

Louisiana Lions Camp

LSU University College’s Summer Scholars is a nine-week summer bridge program that prepares selected under-represented students to make a successful transition from high school to the University. ​

 

National Charity League

NCL, Inc., River Road Chapter is a group of mothers and daughters who have come together in a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.

National Security Language Initiative for Youth
The NSLI-Y program provides merit-based scholarships for eligible high school students and recent high school graduates to learn less commonly taught languages in summer and academic-year overseas immersion programs.

Samford Pharmacy Camp
Samford University offers a one week Pharmacy Camp this summer for high school juniors and seniors who are interested in investigating a career as a Pharmacist.  During the week of pharmacy camp they will experience hands-on learning about health careers in pharmacy, participate in tours of local health care facilities and local pharmacies, participate in compounding activities and hands on demonstrations.

Sarah Lawrence Pre-College Program
Sarah Lawrence offers day and residential summer programs in film making, creative writing, game design and social justice (through art). 

 

SCAD

SCAD Summer Seminars offers workshops for current freshmen, sophomore, and juniors in high school. Summer Seminars participants gain valuable educational experience while developing their creative vision through exciting art and design assignments and projects.

Stargazers Camp
Stargazers Camp is Baton Rouge’s original astronomy-oriented day camp intended to foster the innate interest children have in space and physics. For one week, children are immersed in the fascinating world of astronomy and space science.

Super Sitters
Tweens and teens, ages 11 to 15, interested in babysitting … this class is for you! Learn about the responsibilities involved in babysitting through hands-on practice of:

  • Basic infant care

  • Household safety

  • First aid techniques

  • CPR and choking intervention for infants and children.


Theatre Baton Rouge Summer Camp
We offer fall, winter and spring classes for students of all ages from five years old to senior citizens. Classes focus on acting and performing, voice instruction, auditioning and improvisation. Our focus is not concentrated on just onstage training, but behind the scenes as well.
